Our 2022 calendar is now on sale at Dogspa in North Beverly and Copper Dogs, downtown (see below). Please call stores for their hours. Stores will only accept cash or checks for our calendars.

These beautiful calendars, full of 177 color photos of precious pets, make great gifts, for a great cause; all proceeds help us cover veterinarian costs and care of the homeless animals we rescue.

Calendars are $15 each, and they may also be purchased on this website friendsofbeverlyanimals.org  If you would like to purchase the 2022 FOBA Calendar online, simply click the “Donate” button, then enter $15 for each calendar desired, and under Special Instructions type in “Calendar.” Please add $4.00 for the first calendar and $0.75 for each additional calendar to cover postage and envelope.

Calendars will also be available at our Trivia Night Fundraiser on Friday, September 17th. Please join us for a really fun evening! See previous post.

We hope that you will be able to join us at our fundraiser at the Franco-American Club, 44 Park St., Beverly, 6:30 PM. Tickets are $30 or a table of 8 for $200, and may be purchased here (online) at friendsofbeverlyanimals.org (click on “Donate” button and indicate how many tickets you wish to buy) and at the door.

This Trivia Night promises to be a lot of fun; we know people really enjoyed that part of our most recent event. Thanks to our good friend, Jim Lucas, for agreeing to lead it again. It was a blast.

Its been great and busy year for animal rescue. We have a new calendar editor this year, but we are going forward and need your cutest pet pictures for our 2022 calendar. Please send us a favorite photo (no more than three per pet, please) of dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, any animal you care about, as long as it’s a good and interesting photo and was not used in our previous calendars.
Photos should be good quality (jpgs, at least 150 dpi or 4″x6″ in size), not blurry or dark, with no people (or people parts) in them. Please identify the animal(s) by name, and state the owner’s name.
The deadline for submission is August 10, 2021. Send to fobacalendar@gmail.com and include the words “2022 calendar” in the email subject line.
As most of you know, selling calendars is one of the ways FOBA raises money to support the rescue and adoption placement work we do. Receipt of your photos will be acknowledged, but please be patient because we receive lots of photos. If you don’t currently have a pet, but know someone who might like to have their animal friend in the calendar, kindly share this information.

All the Volunteers at FOBA

We have scheduled Monday, Feb. 15 at 7 PM for a Zoom FOBA meeting. The link and instructions are below.

Items on the agenda are:  Financial report, rescue and adoption activity, discussion of how to add new members, fundraising during the pandemic, etc. Please let us know if you want to add any items.

We still have some 2021 calendars left and if anyone wants one (free) for yourself or to give to a friend, please let me know. They were $14 in the beginning; about mid-January we reduced the price to $7 each. We will donate some of the leftovers to the senior center shortly. They always seem to appreciate them.
