Join FOBA at a Strut for Strays event organized by the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society on Sunday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can raise money for FOBA by participating in a 5K run or a 5K walk, or by just making a donation and attending the event. The Strut for Strays will be held at Newbury Upper Green, One Green Street in Newbury. Festival activities for the entire family include crafts, food, beverages, music, performers, activities, and games.
You can support FOBA at this event in three ways.
- As an individual or team walker. To sign up for the 5K walk, use the green Register button in the top right corner after clicking this link, then select Friends of Beverly Animals. The walk starts at 12:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 1:30 p.m.
- As an individual or team runner. To register for the 5K run, go to this link. The run starts at 10:45 a.m. with awards at noon.
- By making a donation to the FOBA walking team. You can donate at the FOBA’s booth at the Strut for Strays event. You can also donate on-line by clicking the Donate button. The on-line donation page is laid out in a way that makes it seem that funds go to MRFRS (the event organizer) but rest assured, donations made on-line do go to FOBA.
Walkers raising over $25 and all runners will receive a t-shirt at the event. Runners who register by March 31 will receive a technical wicking shirt.
Please join us for the event even if you are not planning to participate in the walk or run. There are plenty of family-friendly activities. FOBA will receive money from donations, fund raising beyond the registration fee, and sales from our booth.
